Anthisan 2% cream is a topical antihistamine containing mepyramine maleate that is used for the symptomatic relief of skin irritation, itching, and pain caused by insect bites and stings, and nettle stings. It works by blocking histamine, a substance your body produces during an allergic reaction, and is applied to the affected area two to three times a day for up to three days. It is not recommended for children under 2 years old or for use on broken skin.
